ADM is expanding its regenerative agriculture program through a new partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition that will support sustainable farming practices across corn and soybean acres in the U.S. and Europe.

The multi-year initiative will cover about 16,000 acres in Illinois and Minnesota, along with a 2,500-acre soybean pilot project in Hungary. The program aims to improve soil health, reduce carbon intensity, enhance water quality and biodiversity and strengthen long-term farm resilience.

Participating farmers will receive financial incentives for adopting regenerative practices such as cover crops, companion cropping and fertilizer efficiency programs. ADM will also provide technical support, field-level education, data collection and outcome reporting through its network of implementation partners.

Greg Morris, senior vice president and president of ag services and oilseeds for ADM, said the collaboration helps expand regenerative agriculture adoption while supporting demand for sustainably sourced pet food ingredients.

“By joining forces with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, we’re helping meet a growing demand from conscientious pet parents for sustainably sourced ingredients while making a meaningful difference in their communities, from farm field to pet food bowl,” Morris said.

The initiative also includes soybean sourcing in Hungary, which supplies ADM facilities in Straubing and Mainz through the Danube and Rhine river systems.

ADM said the project is part of its broader regenerative agriculture platform.
